Kennedy Agyapong more powerful than Akufo-Addo – Alhaji Bature

Editor of the Al Hajj Newspaper, Alhaji Bature Iddrisu has said that New Patriotic Party Member of Parliament for the Assin Central constituency in the Central region, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has become more powerful than President Akufo-Addo.

He believes the President has failed to tame the party’s “loudmouth” MP as far as his utterances on vigilantism are concerned.

Citing his threat to the National Security Minister, Kan Dapaah on the Delta Force issue to buttress his point, Alhaji Bature feared the conduct of the outspoken MP might escalate if President Akufo-Addo fails to crack the whip.

He stated emphatically that, the self-acclaimed financier of the Nana Addo campaign was becoming uncontrollable because any directive he gives the President is always respected.




“Ken Agyapong is more powerful today than the President. The President always respects Ken Agyapong’s decisions regardless of the fact that he is the President. There are other people who have become powerful than the first gentleman but Ken’s own is very special” he disclosed on Adom TV’s Morning Show “Badwam” Tuesday.

But Mr Agyapong who was a co-panelist on the programme, however, denied being more powerful than the President.

According to him, he is only being the voice for the voiceless by making sure that the right thing is done.

“How can Alhaji Bature say am more powerful than Nana Addo. I only make sure that the right thing is done. If you really want to know who Nana Addo is just go to the Flagstaff house and have a chat with him and you will realize how firm he is with his decisions” he noted.
