Cristiano Ronaldo transfer: Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos refuses to rule out exit

SERGIO RAMOS refused to rule out a Real Madrid exit for Cristiano Ronaldo.

Reports emerged from Spain yesterday claiming Ronaldo had had another furious bust up with Bernabeu chiefs and wanted to leave the club.

Ronaldo has started the season poorly, scoring just once in the league, and and has been embroiled in contract talks.

And Real Madrid captain Ramos remained coy on the story.

“Cristiano is leaving? Ask him, I don’t know about these things,” Ramos said.

Ramos has previously been open about Madrid’s dealings, claiming he’d ‘open the door’ for Neymar to sign.

So his stance on Ronaldo could suggest all is not well and something could happen this coming summer.

Ronaldo wanted to leave Spain last summer after being investigated for tax fraud.

In court he claimed he wanted to return to England but no move materialised and he remained in Madrid.

The European champions have since struggled with Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale all off form.

And now Ronaldo is reported to have told Florentino Perez he wants out for a reasonable price.

“Cristiano has already told the club he wants to leave, he is very angry about the offer of renewal, he considers that he needs more affection, the club does not value him,” journalist Edu Aguirre from ‘El Chiringuito’ said.

“He told Florentino Perez to facilitate the departure for a small fee.”

Ramos also recently revealed some of his team-mate get frustrated with Ronaldo’s attitude.

Ronaldo is often seen feeling agitated or annoyed if he doesn’t score and isn’t very discreet with his frustrations.

“Well, if we’re going to get into whether or not it’s something that’s annoying, I guess at the end of the day, it doesn’t help the interests of the team, right?” Ramos told Spanish radio show El Larguero.

“All of the squad probably have their own opinion, maybe some are more affected by it than others, but we’re not going to change the way Cris is at this stage.

“He’s always been the same, so it doesn’t surprise me that even though we won 3-0 he had that look on his face because he didn’t score.

“It could be that it’s not the best way to go about things, and yeah, maybe there are some who don’t like that type of gesture but speaking for me personally, to be honest I don’t care if Cris scores, or if Isco scores, or if Keylor [Navas] or Kiko Casilla come up and score with a header.

“The satisfaction is the same for me as if I’d scored it myself.

“Obviously Cris has a different role, he’s playing for the Golden Boot, for the Ballon d’Or and a lot of individual titles that are influenced by the goals he scores and that sort of thing but I think that above all you can’t hold it against him because he gives the team so much that it’s difficult to get annoyed with him over this gesture or that.”
