James Rodriguez: Bayern Munich star wanted back at Real Madrid by Florentino Perez

REAL MADRID chief Florentino Perez wants to recall Bayern Munich playmaker James Rodriguez.
Rodriguez left Real Madrid for Bayern Munich in the summer, signing a two-year loan deal with the Bundesliga champions.

However, the sacking of manager Carlo Ancelotti has led to talk of a premature move away from the Allianz Arena.

And Spanish website Don Balon says the Colombian is wanted back at his parent club by president Perez.

James Rodriguez was allowed to leave the Bernabeu after struggling for minutes under Zinedine Zidane last term.

The Colombia international spent much of the season stuck on the bench as Real scooped the La Liga and Champions League titles.
But, despite costing a huge £60million just three years ago, he was allowed to go to Germany.

Real are missing Rodriguez, however, with Los Blancos already eight points behind Barcelona at the summit.

And Don Balon say Perez is open to recalling the player should Zinedine Zidane leave.

Talk is already rife the Frenchman could leave the Bernabeu if the France job becomes available.

Didier Deschamps has recently signed a contract extension ahead of the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

But a poor showing at that tournament could see the former Monaco boss leave his post.
Zidane would then be installed as favourite, with the former Real midfielder viewed as one of the country’s best-ever players.
And that could then pave the way for Rodriguez to return.

However, the player has insisted he is content with life in his current surroundings.

“It’s a new way of life for me, but I’m happy,” he told Bayern’s official club website.

“It’s more chilled out here – I can go out for a walk without being pestered – and I’m learning German.

“And, of course, Bayern are a massive club who are always challenging for honours.”
