KABA supported me in school – University student

The death of the late broadcaster, Kwadwo Asare Baffour Acheampong (KABA) has come as a shock not only his family and the Multimedia Group Limited but to Ama Foriwaa Nyarko.

Oforiwaa who is set to graduate from the Central University College with an MBA in Marketing on December 9, 2017 said KABA promised to attend her graduation after supporting her financially for the past four years in school.

“KABA’s death is indeed a big blow to my heart and I can’t stand it anymore. He actually helped me to pay my fees for my years in school. I remember one thing he always says is that I shouldn’t disappoint him: and I am not going to disappoint him” she cried.

Ama Foriwaa Nyarko made this known in an interview with Adom News’ Emmmanuella Ablah Aforkpah when management of The Multimedia Group held a service in memory of their departed staff.




Ghanaians woke up on Saturday to the sad news of the passing of Asempa FM presenter, KABA.

The news was that, he had died at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra in the early hours of Saturday after being rushed there following a short illness.

His sudden demise has seen the outpouring of emotional tributes by many Ghanaians including President Nana Akufo-Addo, Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and former President John Mahama.

According to Ama Foriwaa Nyarko, KABA was a person full of positivity and always available to give a helping hand.

“I met the late KABA at a function and we became friends, and since then he has been supporting me financially through school and he promised to attend my graduation when I spoke with him on Friday morning.

“KABA is always positive and every time I told him about any challenges he is always there to help me. I have indeed lost a friend and a good counsel” she cried.
