Lydia Forson, Zynnell Zuh, others for People’s Celebrity Award

Organisers of People’s Celebrity Awards, formerly known as People’s Choice Awards, have released nominations for the 2017 edition of the award and some of Ghana top actors have all picked nominations.

Among them are Majid Michel, Agya Koo, Lil Win, Akrobeto, Yaw Dabo, Kalybos and Andrew Adote, who were nominated for best actor category of the award ceremony.

The rest include Yvonne Okoro, Lydia Forson, Joselyn Dumas, Jackie Appiah, Nana Ama McBrown, Zynnell Zuh, Roselyn Ngissah, Emelia Brobbey, Priscilla Opoku Agyemang and Benedicta Gaffah, who got nominated for best actress category.

Movies such as ‘Keteke’, ‘John & John’, ‘Pieli’, ‘Ghana Galamsey’, ‘Adanfo Bone’ and ‘Sala’ also got nomination each in best movie of the year category.

The People’s Celebrity Award is a multi-sector awards scheme that celebrates personalities in the fields of entertainment, media, religion and sports.

This year’s award is scheduled for December 30 at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).




Nominations were released on November 21 at the Coconut Grove Regency Hotel in Accra.

In all, nominees for 17 categories, including actor of the year, actress of the year, music video of the year, religious personality of the year and song of the year were unveiled at the ceremony.

GN Bank Mobile Money remains the headline sponsor of the award programme, which is organised by SpyderLee Entertainment.

Winners for the various categories will be selected by votes. Voters are, thus, allowed to vote severally by dialling *712*8# and it is free on every network.
