S Concert controversy: Shatta Wale explains himself

The much anticipated S Concert Organised annually since 2014 by the EIB Network-owned Starr 103.5 FM, is undoubtedly on of Ghana’s biggest outdoor event came to a successful end in the early morning of Saturday, December, 2nd, 2017 but with a controversy at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The Concert which headlined top artistes in the country had Stonebwoy, Lil’Win, Ebony, Samini, Shatta Wale, Kuami Eugene, Kidi, Fancy Gadam, Adina, among others billed to rock the stage.

Many artistes entertained the crowd within a relatively short duration of about 30 minute’s but to the surprise of many, Shatta Wale refused to stop performing after he had performed close more than an hour knowing Samini was next to perform.

Several times he was signaled to end his performance but he chose to caution the organizers to allow him do his job which is to entertain his fans while the crowd kept on chanting his name. He was allowed to perform and he never stopped. He delivered an energy packed spectacular performance to the satisfaction of his fans as Samini, Ebony and other artiste waited on.

This action of Shatta Wale infuriated his rival know Samini who was next to perform as he showed his displeasure by leaving the venue without performing. He later took to social media platform Instagram to explain himself to his fans via a live video.




Many have lashed out at Shatta Wale for what seem to be sabotaging him major viral in the dancehall music genre fraternity in Ghana by invading the stage for long to prevent him performing.

The ‘Ayoo’ hit maker has however explained himself on his official Facebook page on what actually transpired and why he kept so long on stage. He wrote:
