Sack GHANASS headmaster – Ken Agyapong tells NAPO

Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong has called on the Minister of Education, Matthew Opoku Prempeh to immediately sack the Headmaster of Ghana Senior High School (GHANASS), Reverend Abraham Donkor.

The Headmaster of the school, Reverend Abraham Donkor, has been invited by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service to answer questions over an alleged fraud activities in the school feeding programme.

The headmaster who is believed to be in possession of the school’s food product given by the government is to face the law.

Addressing the media in Accra, the Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Police Service, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Ebenezer Tetteh, stated that, the school’s matron and its security man have been invited over to help in investigations.

According to him, the school was yet to lodge a formal complaint with the police on the alleged robbery by the School’s matron.

“It appears the school authorities want to hush up the matter, but we have also heard it on radio, and the media curiosity over the issue is high, and so we have invited the headmaster, the matron and the security man of the school for our own investigations.”

However, a report has it that, food supplies meant for feeding students of GHANASS were being diverted by the school’s matron.

But commenting on the issue, Mr Kennedy Agyapong said both the headmaster and the matron should be prosecuted.

He said the headmaster should be sacked for delaying arrest of the matron.

“That headmaster who claims to be a pastor needs to be sacked for delaying even two days to arrest the matron. That means he is aware of what’s happening but never stopped meaning he supports criminal activities.

“Napo should sack him and make sure that they are prosecuted and serve as deterrent to others because even Jesus Christ destroyed things when he went to the synagogue after he realized people were destroying the place” he said on Adom TV’s morning show “Badwam” Tuesday.
