The Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Mrs Charlotte Osei and her two deputies, Sulley Amadu and Mrs Georgina Opoku-Amankwaa have been cited in the Supreme Court building that houses the offices of the Chief Justice, Madam Sophia Akuffo.
Mrs Osei, accompanied by her lawyer, Thaddeus Sory, entered the building at about 12:52pm, with Alhaji Amadu Sulley closely in tow.
They were followed two minutes later by Mrs Opoku-Amankwaa.
They have been summoned to appear before the chief Justice at 1:00pm, in connection with a petition for their removal from office forwarded to the CJ by the President, Nana Akufo-Addo.
Also expected to appear before the CJ in connection with the same case are the petitioners, whose identity is yet to be made public. They are however, said to be workers of the Electoral Commission.
They are represented by Lawyer Maxwell Opoku-Agyemang, who entered the building, accompanied by another lawyer at about 1:10pm.
