Old Vandals In the UGBS Class of 2017 “SHARE SMILES” with Children of Christ Faith Foster Home

As part of the commitment to making a positive impact in society and being agents of positive change, the Old Vandals in the University of Ghana Business School graduating class of 2017 have extended their support to the Christ Faith Foster Home through a project christened ‘SHARING SMILES’ .
The gesture was geared towards putting smiles on the faces of the residents of the home during the festive season and also improving living conditions in the home.
The group donated crates of egg, carton of frozen chicken, electric irons, books , dewormers, antibiotics and non alcoholic drinks to the home.
The leader of the group, Mr Evans Adanya, commended management of the home for their efforts and service to mankind. He said the group was committed to sustaining collaborations with the home and other similar organisations and institutions which are agents of change and a beacon of hope to the marginalized, poor and vulnerable in society.

Handing over the items to the home, the Head of Projects and Programs of the group, Cyril Cudjoe, noted that the gesture is in line with the values of ‘service’ from the Business School and the Vivacious, Affable, Neighbourly, Dedicated, Altruistic and Loyal tenets of ‘Vandalism’  which have been imbibed by the group throughout their study and stay in the University of Ghana Business School and Commonwealth hall respectively. “To be a VANDAL and a UGBS alumnus is to be a positive change maker and the source of inspiration to others in society”.
Receiving the donation, the Administrator of the home, Mr Yaw Danso , expressed  gratitude to the group for the kind gesture. “We are grateful to you, young graduates from the premier university in Ghana, for the support. We urge you to make this a regular feature and interact with the young ones in the home and inspire them to greater heights”, he added.
The group also commended their colleagues from the general UGBS graduating class of 2017 for supporting this initiative and making it a success.
The Christ Faith Foster Home is the first private foster home to be established in Ghana and it is located at Frafraha in the Adenta Municipality. The home has 41 children in total with ages ranging from 5-25. Over the years, the  home has established itself as a home of excellence in matters relating to social welfare and the support for the orphan child.
