Sergio Aguero backs Harry Kane for Real Madrid success… and rules out own transfer

SERGIO AGUERO says Harry Kane would have no problem playing at Real Madrid – but has ruled himself out of a move to Spain.
Real Madrid are understood to be interested in signing Kane if they are given an indication he is available.

Tottenham would likely put up a fierce resistance to selling their star man.

But, much like Gareth Bale before him, Kane could soon secure a move away from north London if the Bernabeu club come knocking.

Aguero himself has been linked with moves to Real in the past and is currently vying with Kane for the Premier League golden boot.

Kane has 18 goals for the season, while Aguero boasts 13.
And the Argentine reckons Kane has proved himself good enough to play for Real.

“The truth is that players of this quality, I think they wouldn’t have a problem playing for such an important club as Real Madrid,” Aguero said of Harry Kane.

“I don’t know what he is thinking, but that’s not my problem – it’s his.”

Kane scored 39 Premier League goals in 2017 and already boasts three hat-tricks for this season.

As for Aguero, the striker remains Manchester City’s talisman despite the arrival of Gabriel Jesus last winter.

Aguero has successfully managed to keep his place in the side – even though Jesus unsettled the forward upon his arrival.

The 29-year-old’s contract expires at the end of the 2019/20 season and he says he isn’t considering his next move yet.
“I have until 2020, I think,” he said.

“The truth is that I hope to see out my contract and I’ll try to do my best from here until the end of the season, and after that we will see what happens with me.”

Asked further if he wanted to stay, Sergio Aguero said: “For me, yes. Obviously my plan is not to change clubs.

“The truth is I’m very happy here but, as always, as I said before, the club has the last word.

“They’re the only ones who decide, because obviously the club is the one who makes the decisions, they are the ones who say you have to go or have to stay, so I’ll respect whatever they tell me.”
