Barcelona appear to have made their first January signing in Yerry Mina from Palmeiras.
The Colombia international was welcomed to the Blaugrana by former Newcastle star Faustino Asprilla.
One of the stars in the Brazilian Serie A with Palmeiras, Barcelona look set to sign the 23-year-old centre-back as cover with Javier Mascherano on the way out.
“Benvingut [welcome] Yerry Mina to Barcelona,” Asprilla tweeted to his 536,000 followers.

Attention will now turn to Philippe Coutinho with the Brazilian keen to move to the Camp Nou in January, rather than in the summer after the World Cup.
Ernesto Valverde has inspired his side, alongside Lionel Messi, to a commanding position in La Liga, as well as securing a last 16 tie against Chelsea in the Champions League.
But fresh blood is needed and Mina looks set to be the first in a busy window for the Catalan giants.
