Chelsea boss Antonio Conte hits out at rival Jose Mourinho by accusing him of suffering from senile dementia

Antonio Conte has hit back at Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger in an extraordinary double blast.

Conte accused bitter rival Mourinho of suffering from “demenza senile” and obsessing about his former club after the Manchester United manager yesterday aimed a swipe at his Chelsea rival.

And Conte also had a pop at “old” coach Wenger after the Arsenal boss branded Blues star Eden Hazard a “diver”.

Conte went on the attack ahead of Chelsea’s FA Cup third round trip to Norwich and Mourinho was his biggest target.
Mourinho appeared to have a dig at animated managers Conte and Jurgen Klopp for behaving like “clowns” on the touchline.

In response, Conte said: “I think that he has to see himself in the past, maybe he was speaking about himself in the past, yeah? Maybe sometimes I think that someone forget what they said in the past or his behaviours.

“And sometimes I think there is, I don’t know the name – ‘demenza senile’ ? – when you are a bit [Conte taps his temple], when you forget what you do in the past.
“There is a person who continues to look here. He went away but continues to look here.”

Chelsea later insisted ‘amnesia’ was the word Conte was referring to.

Conte also had Wenger in his sights after the Arsenal chief’s claims about Hazard.

Wenger was fuming when Chelsea were awarded a penalty in Wednesday’s 2-2 draw at Arsenal after Hazard was kicked by Hector Bellerin.
Conte said: “I think if Arsene Wenger watched the game again, understand that he was very lucky during the game for refereeing decisions.

“I think that it is very strange because I don’t like to speak about the other coach, the other players.

“I think that is a form of respect you must have and I repeat that sometimes for example, Wenger forgets that in the last few games we finish the game with 10 men.
“When they won FA Cup and Community Shield and I think the referee decisions [to send off Victor Moses and Pedro] were a bit strange, you understand?

“I can talk, if I want I can talk about referee decision for one month but I don’t want to do this because we must have respect for the decision.

“Also Wenger tries to find this way like other coaches and it is not good. You have to accept the decision. He is an old coach, he has experience he won a lot he has to continue to do what he did in the past.”
