MINO RAIOLA is costing Manchester United star Henrikh Mkhitaryan a return to Borussia Dortmund, according to reports.
Manchester United star Mkhitaryan has been linked with a move back to Borussia Dortmund amid uncertainty over his Old Trafford future.
The Armenia international started the campaign in stunning form, helping the Red Devils win their first four Premier League games.
However, Mkhitaryan’s performance levels have dipped with the 28-year-old currently out in the cold.
Yet the Mirror say Mkhitaryan will not be returning to Dortmund because of his agent, Raiola.
Raiola helped Manchester United sign the player from Dortmund in the summer of 2016, beating Arsenal and Liverpool to his signature.
And the Mirror say his handling of that deal has put Dortmund off bringing Mkhitaryan back to the Westfalenstadion this winter.
Additionally, Dortmund also feel United are demanding too much to part with their wing wizard.
Saying as much earlier this week, Dortmund chief Hans-Joachim Watzke claimed: “I know the economic data of his transfer to Manchester United and that’s why it’s imaginable only with great imagination.”
With Dortmund seemingly out of the running to sign Mkhitaryan, that could work in Inter Milan’s favour.
The Serie A giants have also been tipped to sign the Armenia star.
But, speaking yesterday, Inter boss Luciano Spalletti quashed talk over a transfer.
“Mkhitaryan, [Javier] Pastore and then…you see? You need €30-40million to buy them. We don’t have it,” he said.
“It’s no use beating about the bush — I’ve been told that we can’t spend €40million, so there’s no point even talking about it.
“Maybe you could have an exchange of players on loan, but then you would need, for example, Manchester United to want one of our players, but you’ve both got to have the same intentions.
“Everybody has to align with this FFP and nearly everybody needs to bring in more money.”
