Avid Shatta Wale fan promises free ‘trotro’ rides if he meets him

A commercial bus driver has promised to give commuters free ride from Accra Central to New Town, a suburb of Accra, the very day he gets to meet Shatta Wale.

Liman Akwara, an obsessed fan of dancehall act Shatta Wale, says it is his dream to meet the ‘Kakai’ hitmaker.

Mr Akwara, who hails from Bolgatanga in the Upper East region, told JoyNews’ Becky that he got to know about Shatta Wale while watching television in 2013 and has since fallen deeply in love with the ‘Freedom’ crooner.



He doesn’t watch or listen to anything apart from Shatta Wale’s songs and videos he claimed, adding, that he’s always encouraged to buy newspapers only to read and update himself about the dancehall musician.

The bus driver, who has a tattoo of Shatta’s face at his back, also added that he believes the ‘Taking Over’ hitmaker is a blessing from God and he is unperturbed when he hears or reads negative news about him.
