CHELSEA boss Antonio Conte has confirmed three players will sit out tomorrow night’s FA Cup third-round replay against Norwich.
The Blues welcome the Canaries to Stamford Bridge after they were held 0-0 by Daniel Farke’s men at Carrow Road 10 days ago.
And Conte has revealed they’ll have to book their place in the fourth round without injured duo Gary Cahill and Cesc Fabregas.
“Cahill, but his problem is not too serious,” he said, when asked about injury absences for the Norwich clash.
“Cesc had a little problem in his hamstring and is not available.”
Chelsea fans are eagerly awaiting Ross Barkley’s debut after the midfielder moved to west London from Everton.
However, Conte confirmed the England international cannot play against Norwich because was not registered by midday on the day he signed.
Conte was also asked about whether facing Norwich was perfect for ending their barren run in front of goal.
“I think this game is an important game, it is a good chance to continue to keep the clean sheet and then to try to win the game and score and go to the next round,” he added.
“As you know this type of game is very difficult and we have to pay great attention to try to win the game.”
Chelsea will play host to Newcastle United on the 28th of this month if they get past Norwich.
They return to Premier League action when they visit Chris Hughton’s Brighton on Saturday.
