Arsenal agree terms with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang but deal remains in the balance

ARSENAL have agreed a contract package with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – but the deal is stalling over Borussia Dortmund’s search for a replacement.
Arsenal have made their move for the Gabon star and want him to lead the club forward after selling Alexis Sanchez to Manchester United.

Gunners chiefs have been in Germany this week trying to thrash out a deal and have reportedly agreed terms on a contract with the player.

According to the Mirror Arsenal have agreed to pay Aubameyang £200,000 a week, making him the highest-paid player at the club.

But the deal is yet to be signed off by Dortmund as they look for a replacement.
Olivier Giroud is their first choice although another swap deal for Arsenal is likely to drag into next week.

Arsenal completed the signing of Henrikh Mkhitaryan in exchange for Sanchez but the deal took over a week to complete with both parties wanting the right deals and work permits to be signed off.

Dortmund were keen on Giroud last summer and have made him their No 1 target to replace Aubameyang this month.
If the deal to see the France striker move to Germany can’t be agreed the Aubameyang deal may be put off until the summer.

Aubameyang has scored 13 Bundesliga goals in 15 games but is being allowed to leave because of his controversial personality.

He has clashed with senior members of the club and was recently sent off in the crucial game against Schalke.
