Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo blocked two Manchester United players from signing

REAL MADRID star Cristiano Ronaldo blocked the club from signing Manchester United duo Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, according to reports.
Real Madrid star Ronaldo is being linked with a move back to Manchester United despite Jose Mourinho insisting a deal was not on the cards.

But it appears the player may have some apologising to do should he end up making the move to Old Trafford.

Spanish website Don Balon have sensationally claimed that Ronaldo stopped Manchester United players Ibrahimovic and Pogba from joining, with the 32-year-old supposedly worried about a potential ego clash.

It is an open secret that Ronaldo rules the roost at Real and – given all he has achieved during his time at the club – the board take into account his opinions.

Pogba was heavily tipped to leave Juventus for Madrid back in the summer of 2016.
But Real’s hesitation cost them dear with United swooping in to sign the France international for a then world-record fee of £89million.

Ibrahimovic, meanwhile, has been heavily linked with Real twice.

The first was in 2012, after he had decided to leave AC Milan, but the 36-year-old chose to spearhead the PSG revolution instead.

He was also linked with them in the summer after being released by United.

But he ultimately ended up signing a new contract with the Red Devils.

Don Balon add a move for Arturo Vidal was also stopped by Ronaldo.
Meanwhile, Ronaldo wants Madrid’s players to rally round Zinedine Zidane to save the Frecnhman’s job.
“If we can win the Champions League at the end of the year, it will be an incredible year,” he told Chinese outlet Dongqiudi at Valdebebas.

“We haven’t started well in La Liga and we are disappointed, nobody is happy about that.

“But now we must work hard for the Champions League because it’s the most important trophy for us.

“It will be difficult in La Liga, but we can’t give up, even if we have dropped many points since the start of the season.”
