CHELSEA boss Antonio Conte has lost the support of the dressing room, according to reports.
Antonio Conte is a man under pressure as Chelsea travel to Watford tonight in desperate search of a win.
Express Sport understands a defeat could spell disaster for the Italian who is facing the sack just nine months after delivering the Premier League title.
The former Juventus boss has publicly asked for a vote of confidence from the Stamford Bridge club in a bizarre plea.
But it seems the end could be near for Conte who has also lost the support of his players, according to ESPN Brazil.
The report says the Blues boss unsettled the dressing room in the summer after his public bust-up with Diego Costa.
The striker was eventually sold to Atletico Madrid but other issues soon arose, with David Luiz being cast aside by the Italian.
ESPN claim the squad has almost entirely lost faith in Conte and a mood similar to that under Jose Mourinho in 2015 has begun to take hold.
Cesar Azpilicueta is said to be the only player who is now fully backing the manager.
And Conte’s recent quotes suggest he too feels his time may up, admitting he does not expect his calls for a vote of confidence to be answered.
“When there are these rumours about me since the first game of the season, maybe I’d like the club to prepare a statement to say they trust me in my job,” he said.
“I know this never happened in the past, so why should I hope for something different?
“But I’d like to have a statement of support against this speculation.
“It’s a big challenge to change the approach now. But I’d be glad. You only need one person to speak to make this happen.”
