I am not responsible for Ebony’s death – Kaakyire Kwame Appiah

Highlife musician, Kaakyire Kwame Appiah has denied claims he is to blame for the death of Priscilla Opoku – Kwarteng aka Ebony Reigns for shielding a prophecy about her death from her.

The “24th and the Solookuoo” hitmaker on Peace Fm at the weekend, maintained that others who heard the prophecy by head Pastor and Founder of the True Word Prophetic Fire Ministry located at Achimota mile 7, Prophet Nigel Gaise on air also called him to inform him while having a studio session.

According to him, the Man of God prophesied on a local radio station in Accra late last year and he personally took steps to avert any misfortune from befalling him; revealing how he made efforts to also contact Ebony to no avail.

He said it was not easy getting the contact of the late musician from her colleagues as no one was willing to release the number to him for reasons best known to them.

“It is difficult getting the contact of Hiplife artistes unlike that of Highlife artistes. I did all I could to contact them and finally conveyed the message to her Manager as to whether they took steps to avert it or not, I cannot tell”, he disclosed.

Some Ghanaians are blaming Kakyire Kwame Appiah for not looking for Ebony to tell her about her prophesy but rather went alone to see prophet Nigel Gaise.

But according to him, he informed Ebony’s management about the prophecy and therefore did not know that she had not been informed in order to take steps in remedying the situation.

He maintained that he did his utmost best and should not be blamed for keeping Ebony’s prophesy.
