Neymar: PSG star does not want to play against Real Madrid in Champions League second leg

PSG star Neymar does not want to play against Real Madrid in the second leg of their Champions League clash, according to sensational reports.

Real Madrid are determined to make Neymar their marquee summer arrival despite the Brazil international only joining PSG back in August.

The France international has been in stunning form all season and took his tally to 28 for the season by scoring against Strasbourg on Saturday.

Real want Neymar as a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo who, despite putting PSG to the sword in midweek, is not the player he used to be.

And Spanish outlet Don Balon have now sensationally claimed that Neymar does not want to play against Real Madrid in the second leg of their European tie.

The 26-year-old struggled in the first game at the Bernabeu on Wednesday.

Many expected him to usurp Ronaldo and fire PSG to a stunning first leg lead.

But Ronaldo provided a timely reminder of his ability by scoring twice to give Real a key 3-1 victory at the Bernabeu.

It means Los Blancos will go into the game expected to seal their passage to the quarter-finals.

But Don Balon say Neymar is reluctant to take part in the second leg.

They refuse to name a specific reason why but it may be because of the way he was criticised after his abject showing in the first leg.

Meanwhile, Barcelona legend Xavi has defended his old team-mate and believes Neymar actually outperformed Ronaldo at the Bernabeu.

“They said that Cristiano was still better than Neymar,” Xavi told So Foot.

“No, no, it’s unfair. What did Ronaldo do in the game, scored a penalty and a knee goal…

“But what about the dangerous situations created by Neymar?

“And the counterattacks that he launched, the fear that he sowed in Madrid?”
