Video: Shatta Wale’s mum never slammed ‘fake’ prophets – Father

A video that surfaced online of a woman slamming prophets for prophesying the death of Shatta Wale is not the dancehall artiste’s mother, father of the singer has said.

There were reports that one Elsie Evelyn Avemegah had condemned Prophet E. K. Mensah of the Christ Vision Prayer Ministry who had prophesied that the musician will die before July 2018 if he does not repent.

Another Prophet, Cosmos Walker Afram also prophesied recently that there will be a national mourning.

In a Facebook Live video, the alleged mother of Shatta Wale accused ‘those doom prophets who are causing fear and panic in the life of her son and his followers’.




She was reported to have said those prophets will have to answer to her if any misfortune befalls her son.

Asked about the alleged video, Charles Mensah Snr, father of Shatta Wale, told Prince Tsegah on Showbiz Fylla on Hitz FM that the musician’s mother didn’t record the video.

According to him, the woman could be a loyal fan who only recorded the video to support his son.

He noted that Shatta Wale has become so popular that some people wanted to cash in on his fame.
