LIVERPOOL are said to be lining up a summer move for Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas.
Doubts have grown over the current choices, with Loris Karius and Simon Mignolet failing to convince they are reliable No 1s on a long-term basis.
Liverpool have been eyeing a deal for Roma shot-stopper Alisson, although it is thought the 25-year-old will fetch £70million.
Recent reports have suggested the Anfield outfit will abandon a move for the Serie A star as they are put off by his huge price-tag.
And according to Spanish publication Diario Gol, Real Madrid star Navas has come into Jurgen Klopp’s thinking.
It is said Liverpool are considering a move for the 31-year-old, who came close to signing for Manchester United in 2015 before a deadline day broke down.
Diario Gol also claim Liverpool would have to pay around £17.6million if they want to sign Navas.
Zinedine Zidane praised Navas earlier in the season when asked about a move for Athletic Bilabo goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga: “I’m always going to be with Keylor and Kiko [Casilla].
“Kepa’s a good goalkeeper, sure. There’s no doubt about that. But he’s not my goalkeeper.
“I’m sticking with Keylor and Kiko.
“We’ll see what happens when they open the market. We’ll see if any one comes and if they can, they can.
“But I’ve got Keylor and I’m happy with that.”
