Man Utd star Nemanja Matic reveals what Jose Mourinho put on Chelsea note

MANCHESTER UNITED star Nemanja Matic has finally revealed what Jose Mourinho put on his note during the Red Devils’ 2-1 win over Chelsea on Sunday.
Matic was handed a piece of paper by Eric Bailly from Mourinho during the latter stages of Manchester United’s Chelsea win.

The Serbia international was spotted smirking at the note with fans speculating on what it said.

Given Mourinho’s reputation as a strict tactical tutor, the 54-year-old could be forgiven for giving Matic crucial instructions at such a late stage of the match.

But the Manchester United star has now taken to Instagram to reveal the note said, with an accompanying smiling face: “You have three days off’.

The message shows Mourinho has retained his sense of humour throughout the years.

That, despite the fact he often looks moody and sulky on the touchline.

It turns out United did not need any tactical tinkering with the Red Devils outshining Chelsea in the second half.

Willian put the Blues in front early on.

But Romelu Lukaku and Jesse Lingard both stepped up to the plate.

Lukaku scored a fine equaliser after good work from Alexis Sanchez and Anthony Martial in the build-up.

And the Belgium international then turned provider for Lingard’s late header.

The win means United move six points clear of Chelsea in the race to finish second.

Yet they must win their next two games to boost their chances of staying in that position.

Crystal Palace are up next on Monday night (8pm).

And United will then host Liverpool, who put West Ham to the sword via a 4-1 win on Saturday.
