I paid Sarkodie not less than $7,000 for a feature – Ypee

Undoubtedly, Ghanaian rapper Michael Owusu Addo known in showbiz as Sarkodie is one of Ghana’s biggest brands when it comes entertainment, but how much is his brand worth for a feature on a track?

Well, fast-rising Kumasi based rapper, Ypee during an interview with Arnold on “VibesIn5” revealed the amount of money he had to pay Sarkodie to feature both on his “Mey3 Guy” song and its video.

According to the Kumasi based rapper, Sarkodie demanded not less than $7,000 and without a full payment, Sarkodie wouldn’t have featured on his “Mey3 Guy” track.

The young rapper added that he’s not boarded about the amount of money he paid Sarkodie to feature on his track and that he believes it’s huge investment into his music career.

He went on to revealed that Sarkodie undoubtedly is the biggest artiste in Ghana.

The young Kumasi based rapper, Ypee revealed this when Arnold asked him “How much did you pay Sarkodie to feature on your track?”

“Well, I cannot really disclose the actual amount, but I paid him not less than $7,000 for appearance. I believe Sarkodie is the biggest artiste in Ghana, so paying such huge amount is no big deal, moreover is an investment into my music career,” Ypee responded.

The young rapper’s “Mey3 Guy” music video featuring Sarkodie and Medikal is placed 42nd in YouTube trending videos.
