Jose Mourinho: Man Utd manager furious because of Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino

MANCHESTER UNITED manager Jose Mourinho is said to be unhappy at reports linking Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino to the Old Trafford job.
Manchester United boss Mourinho has found his position under threat amid talk Pochettino is being lined up to take the reins.

The 54-year-old, however, is safe for now and is understood to retain the full support of Red Devils CEO Ed Woodward.

However, the Manchester Evening News say Jose Mourinho is angry at reports linking Pochettino to the job.

The Argentine is yet win a single trophy in English football.

Mourinho, contrastingly, has won 11 throughout two spells at Chelsea and one at United.
What is endearing the Tottenham manager, though, is his team’s style of play.

Spurs are a far more entertaining outfit than United, with Pochettino coaxing the best out of Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane throughout his time in the job.

United, on the other hand, are a far more turgid, albeit professional, outfit.

The MEN say Mourinho finds it ludicrous how Tottenham are praised while his United side aren’t.

And, speaking after the Red Devils’ 2-0 win over Swansea on Saturday, the 54-year-old admitted he thought his side deserved more credit.
“Manchester City is not important for me,” the United boss said.

“Important for me is that since the moment we left the first position and went to second, we stayed there for the whole of the season.

“We deserved to feel second in spite of what you can say, the critics you make, you all say the third, fourth, fifth, sixth are better than us but they are not better than us because we have more points than them.”

Mourinho has a chance to get one over on Tottenham and Pochettino when United face them in the FA Cup semi-finals on April 21.
