NPP will break two-term rule jinx – Wontumi predicts

Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako has predicted a landslide electoral victory for the NPP in 2020.

Mr. Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi says the NPP will win presidential elections and annex the presidency for more than eight years.

According to him, his utmost priority is to help the New Patriotic Party break what he says has become two-term rule jinx of political parties in power in the fourth republic.



“Our political cycle has been one way for far too long. It is time the NPP makes history by moving away from this. This is what NPP and I stand for. We will break this record and govern for many years,” he said on Accra based Radio Station, Okay FM.

Chairman Wontumi vowed to work tirelessly to snatch three parliamentary seats currently being held by the opposition National Democratic Congress in the Ashanti region for the New Patriotic Party.

This means Asawase, Ejura-Sekyedumase and Sekyere Afram Plains would be up for grab by the NPP.

“We will make sure we take all the votes from the NDC. Even some of them (NDC) have given the assurance to vote for us and we will make sure we make life unbearable for the NDC in this country,” he noted.

According to Mr. Antwi Boasiako, the track record of President kufo-Addo’s government has positioned the NPP well to win and hold on to power.
