Aduana Stars were ruthless at home in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup Playoff with a 6-1 victory over Fosa Juniors of Madagascar on Sunday.
The defending Ghana Premier League champions had fallen into the CAF Confed Cup after losing to ES Setif in the CAF Champions League qualifiers and they wanted to give themselves a good advantage ahead of the second leg.
But that quest took a bit as Fosa scored through Josee in the 4th minute.
However, Aduana Stars responded through Elvis Opoku. Sam Adams scored two penalties to make it 3-1 by the 41st minute.
Zakaria Mumuni got the fourth for Aduana from another penalty in the 63rd minute. Elvis Opoku and Bright Adjei rounded up the scoring for Aduana Stars ahead of the second leg on April 18.
