Father of the late dancehall act Ebony, Nana Opoku Kwarteng, says he hates his new life of fame.
Contrary to perceptions that he was leeching off the death of his daughter to attain fame and money, Nana Kwarteng laments that constantly being in the limelight is difficult.
Many site his constant willingness to speak to the media, and a rumoured friction between himself and family over cash donations as indications that he was seeking attention.
However, when asked by Prince Tsegah on ‘You Sey Wetin’ on Hitz FM, how he manages the fame now, he responded saying “it’s not easy, I wish I hadn’t gotten there, trust me.”
According to him, “everything has changed. I wanted to live my life.”
Although admitting that he doesn’t have much of a choice now, he says “I hate my life now.”
Asked if he will maximise on the fame to engage in any business venture, he responded: “I will need your support to get that done. So I’m counting on you.”
