Within the past few days, social media has been awash with news of the arrest of one of Ghana’s richest young millionaires Ibrahim Daouda.
According to reports Ibrahim Daouda, popularly known as Ibrah 1 was picked up by the Police for defrauding a friend of $400,000.
He is alleged to have received a bank transfer on behalf of one Heloo and refused to give the money to the owner.
Although very popular in the country, little is known of the gentleman who made the cut for ‘Millionaires under 40’ in Ghana with some alleging that he is involved in mischievous activities for his wealth.

At age 32, Ibrah, a lover of luxurious cars has accrued several sports cars including Ferrari, Porsche, Bentley, Mercedes Benz G-wagon, Audi R8, just to name a few.
His entrepreneurial journey began when he was 11-years-old while he assisted his father run a foreign currency exchange business in Accra. He later got into the forex bureau business full time and later ventured into real estate.
According to reports Mr. Daouda has several luxurious completed homes which are up for sale and lease across the country and abroad. Apart from living an extravagant and plush lifestyle, he is also a known philanthropist.
He was once involved in a $25,000 donation to a young? who needed a surgical procedure in India to correct a genetic disorder caused by the mutation in her SLC12A3 gene resulting in the swelling up of her body parts.
In another instance in 2017, the well reserved young millionaire brought a lot of smiles to the faces of some passengers in a public bus (Trotro) when he boarded the vehicle, paid their fares and finally distributed iPhones to all aboard to the surprise of everybody.
Prior to his arrest, Ibrah had aspirations of launching a business venture to support young entrepreneurs across the country. The Ibrah Venture Capital was to be due in November 2018.
He is however currently waiting to be extradited to the United States to stand trial for money laundering.
Following his arrest, Ibrah has in a series of messages on his Snapchat threatened to expose some key Ghanaian political figures who he claims are involved in fraudulent activities, confirming several beliefs of his shady source of money.
