Patapaa replies Fancy Gadam for calling him a ‘joker’

Patapaa has responded to the claims of the “king of Northern Music”, Fancy Gadam over his recent comments that he was a joker and not a songwriter.

Not long ago, the Tamale-based hiplife artiste known by his real name, Ahjmed Mujahid Bello said in an interview that the Swedru-based artiste, Patapaa Amisty is not a talented songwriter but a joker.

According to him, he’ll not waste his time doing a collaboration with Patapaa because he doesn’t see him as a musician but a comedian.

But in a riposte, the Patapaa slammed Fancy, claiming if not with the help of Sarkodie, Ghanaians wouldn’t know him.



“Who is Fancy Gadam? I don’t even know him, had it not been Sarkodie, who would have heard of his song? My song was everywhere and was on the lips of everyone around the globe. If we say talent, talent is not about Sarkodie being on your song to make you win the award, it’s because of Sarkodie he won that award”, he said on Class FM.

Patapaa recently received an award for the “Most Popular Song” at the MMCLive concert which was held over the weekend and he used the opportunity to subtly jibe Fancy.
