My respect for women pushed me to write the song ‘Obaa’ – Kwabena Kwabena

Highlife musician, Kwabena Kwabena, has disclosed the reason for his new controversial song ‘Obaa’.

Giving his reason the highlife artiste said his love for women urged him to penned down his latest song Obaa.

“The respect I’ve for women pushed me to write the song ‘Obaa’, Kwabena Kwabena said.



The ‘Obaa’ music video which was directed by Bismarck Aryee of Filifili Studios is expected to create more controversies within the showbiz fraternity looking at the concept.

Kwabena Kwabena is a Ghanaian musician, guitarist, and an accomplished draftsman.

His big break came in 2004 when he recorded is debut album ASO. Three of the songs were used in the soundtrack of Sparrow Productions’s The Perfect Picture.

Some of his hits include ‘Ka kyere me’, ‘Trodom’, ‘Adea waye me’, ‘Fakye me’, ‘Me ne woa’, etc. He released his second album Dabi which was also a massive success and hailed by many musicians.
