Barcelona news: Antoine Griezmann’s potential arrival puts Ousmane Dembele in danger

BARCELONA will look to loan out starlet Ousmane Dembele if they sign Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann.
The former Real Sociedad star has been heavily backed to join the Catalan side this summer, after resisting offers from elsewhere at the start of the season.

Griezmann is said to be the biggest priority for Barcelona in the transfer market this summer after their failure to win the Champions League this season.

The Atletico forward will command a fee of around €100m (£88m) in the summer, and his arrival would likely leave a number of Barca stars fighting for their place in the team.

And according to Mundo Deportivo, Dembele is one player who could be sacrificed to make way for the 27-year-old.
The youngster has endured a tough debut season at the Nou Camp after suffering an injury soon after his big-money move last summer.



Dembele has been playing more games in recent months.

However, Griezmann’s arrival would surely see him partner Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez in attack.

For this reason, Mundo Deportivo report Barcelona could look to loan Dembele out this summer.

And the publication claims Atletico may try and use the youngster as a makeweight in any deal for Griezmann.

Barcelona secured the La Liga title last night with a 4-2 win over Deportivo.

Meanwhile, Atleti are currently trying to cling on to second place.
