Eastern Region delegates endorse Freddie Blay for NPP chairmanship slot

The Eastern Regional delegates led by the Regional Minister, Regional Executives and the 33 constituencies executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have declared their fully support for Freddie Blay by promising of voting massively for him to get the nod as the next National Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party.

This came to light when Mr Blay embarked on a three-day tour in the region to solicit for votes from the delegates.

The Regional wing, led by the Chairman, Kiston Akomeng Kissi, 1st Vice Chairman, Alhaji Umar Bodinga, 2nd Vice Chairman, Barima – Twum, Jerry Osei Poku, Youth Organizer among others who joined the acting chairman campaign tour and the 33 constituncy chairmen noted that, since the 2018 National Delegates Conference which is scheduled to take place in June will be held in Koforidua, the host Region capital, they therefore declared Host and Win.

The delegates who speaks at separate functions openly declared their supports and promised not disappoint him at a time ” we need to reward him since the party rewards loyal members”.’

The hopeful National chairman of the ruling party met the 33 constituency executives at, Krobo Odumase Asamankese, Koforidua, Nkawkaw, Akim Oda, and Bunso which comprises of the Krobo Block, Asamankese Zone, Akyem Enclaves, Kwahu Block and Koforidua Zone.



The constituency executives noted that, bordered on Mr. Blay’s contribution towards the growth of the party, vision for the party and nation, track record, international contacts and capabilities and capacity to attract floating voters, he deserved to be crowd as the next National Chairman to win the 2020 elections.

The Acting National Chairman, Freddie Blay, on his behalf admonished the delegates to explain the new government policies and interventions to members at the grassroots.

This, he said, will enable them to take full advantage of those policies to improve upon their standards of living.

According to him, the government has put proper measures in place that will be implemented and be benefit for all.

He said the Government, led by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has begun fulfilling its campaign promises and will equitably share the national resources among the people.

Mr. Blay said the Party has competent and experienced men and women, who are capable of prudently managing the resources to ensure rapid economic growth and development.

Mr. Freddie Blay gave the assurance that the Government would provide the needed incentives and regulatory framework to enable the establishment of factories that will process local resources into finished products to create more jobs for the teeming unemployed youth.
