Real Madrid news: Zinedine Zidane makes huge Champions League revelation

ZINEDINE ZIDANE insists his future at Real Madrid does not depend on winning the Champions League.
Zidane has won the Champions League in each of the last two years and is on course for an incredible third in a row.

Real Madrid lead Bayern Munich 2-1 after the first leg of the semi-final.

But Zidane’s future remains in question after a poor league campaign with Real down in third place in La Liga.

Madrid started the season in awful form and have found it too hard to recover the lost points with Barcelona on fire.

And Atletico Madrid have been able to hold of the challenge from their cross-city rivals.
But Zidane insists he is staying put regardless of the result against Bayern Munich and the final if Real make it.

“It is independent of winning the Champions League: I want to continue at this club,” he told reporters.

“But what matters to me is what we are doing now, how we play tomorrow against Bayern.
“The rest we cannot speculate about. I don’t know if I can say I’m a better or a worse coach [than when he started].

“Yes, I have more experience. There are many better coaches than me, but I have had the chance to live with this Real Madrid squad and do the things we have done.”

Madrid play their second leg match at the Bernabeu tomorrow night with two away goals and the advantage over Bayern.
