General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia has been asked to use his little time on earth to seek accommodation in heaven.
According to Edward Enin, a former Member of Parliament the NDC scribe has gained notoriety for peddling falsehood just to score cheap political point.
The NDC scribe popularly known as General Mosquito has incurred the wrath of many, especially members of the NPP for claiming President Akufo-Addo has legalized homosexuality in Ghana.
Addressing party supporters at the party’s Unity Walk in the Ashanti Regional capital, Kumasi over the weekend, Mr. Asiedu Nketia alleged that “Nana Addo says men will marry men, and women will marry women.”
But a statement from the presidency urged Ghanaians to disregard the claim, saying it is a “falsehood” peddled by the NDC General Secretary.
“We will rather appeal to Ghanaians to, once again, ignore the falsehoods of the NDC, and urge Mr. Asiedu Nketiah to concentrate his energies on uniting his divided and discredited party,” the statement added.
On Adom FM’s morning show Dwaso Nsem Monday, Edward Enin said General Mosquito is gradually caving a niche for himself as a “reckless and loose talker”.
“I’m not surprised Asiedu Nketia said this because he is a loose talker. I will advise him to use his little time on earth to pray for space in heaven and stop the lies”, he stated.
The former Obuasi MP noted that though there is pressure on government to repeal the country’s laws on same-sex marriage, the Akufo-Addo led government will never kowtow to the western world.
Edward Enin said government remains focused on delivering on his mandate and improving the quality of lives of the Ghanaian people.
