NDC will bring Dumsor back when voted into power – John Boadu warns

The acting General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu has said that the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) will return the country to the dark days of power outages when voted into power.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen Programme on Friday, Boadu said the NDC will return the country to the dark days because it lacks the needed skills to effectively manage the power sector.

“The NDC will return the country to the dumsor when voted into power…they just lacked the managerial skills to manage the energy sector…,” John Boadu said in Twi.

The country experienced, close to, four years of power outages popularly known as ‘Dumsor’, leading to the collapse of several businesses.

The Nana Addo administration prides itself with ending the power outages; an argument the NDC disagrees as according to them, they provided the needed interventions to help end the crisis.

The interventions, they said include the purchasing of power badges including Karpower.

“It’s true they brought Karpower and others but that could not solve Dumsor…what kind of argument is that, should we also take Bui out of the energy mix? What kind of argument is that…they are just confused…,” he refuted.

To him, since the NDC lacks the competence to manage the energy sector, Ghanaians ought to be assured that the days of dumsor will return.

“It was generation problem but the ingredient for the generation and the cost of the generation is what they couldn’t manage and that is what we have successfully done…,” he added.
