2018 Milo U-13 Champions League Launched

As part of efforts to help unearth budding soccer talents, Nestle Ghana in partnership with the Ghana Education Service and the Ghana Football Association has launched the 2018 edition of the Milo under-13 champion league competition.

The 2018 edition which was launched at the headquarters of Nestle Ghana Limited in Accra on Friday, May 4, saw representatives from Nestle Ghana, the Ghana Education service and the Ghana Football Association all gracing the occasion to make it a memorable one.

Speaking at the launch, the Managing Director of Nestle Ghana Mrs. Freda Duplan said her outfit is looking forward to help over 50 million children to live healthy lifestyles by the year 2030 and the Milo under-13 champions league forms part of those initiatives to help achieve their objectives.

“Healthy living is not only about eating right but also being physically active is key to maintaining a well-balanced and healthy lifestyle.




“We are expecting continuous improvement that means an even better tournament especially seeing our children getting better and better with the discipline aspect…so we are looking forward to a great and exciting event this year,” Mrs. Duplan added.

Meanwhile, assistant director general at the Ghana Education Service Mr. Anthony Boateng lauded Nestle Ghana for coming up with such an initiative to help develop football at the grass root level in Ghana.

“Nestle Ghana Limited should be commended for this initiative because they have been supporting grass root football for many years and I believe our marriage will go a long way to discover more talents to feed our various national teams.” he concluded.
