Arsene Wenger makes new job revelation after Emirates farewell ahead of Arsenal exit

ARSENE WENGER has revealed he has been offered more jobs than he expected since announcing his departure from Arsenal.
Wenger confirmed he would leave Arsenal at the end of the season after 22 years at the club.

On Sunday Wenger said goodbye to the Emirates after overseeing his final home game of the season.

But he has stressed he will remain in football and could manage another club.

And he admits the job offers have flowed in, but insists he will wait until the season is over before deciding his future.

And speaking in his pre-Leicester press conference, Wenger was asked if he had received offers from clubs.

“Yes,” he said. “More than I expected.
“But I’m not analysing or considering anything. I want to work well here until the last day of my contract.

“For sure I will be active. My brain demands work and is active.

“I have huge experience in management. Overall, I will work.

“What will I do? I don’t know.”

Wenger has two games remaining at Arsenal before leaving the club to pick a new boss
Max Allegri and Luis Enrique are the favourites and Wenger thinks whoever his successor is they can challenge for the title with a couple of key signings.

“I would say the squad doesn’t need much because there’s huge potential there,” he said.

“It needs two or three additions and this team will compete for the championship next season.”

Sven Mislintat and Raul Sanllehi are leading the process to appoint a new boss and Express Sport understands they want someone in place before the start of the World Cup.

Arsenal are expected to make big changes to the playing squad with a goalkeeper, centre back and central midfielder the key areas needing to be addressed.
But until the new manger is appointed Mislintat will be working on targets to bring in.

Arsenal appear to have made a breakthrough with Jack Wilshere and a new deal now looks close.

Wenger said: “The latest conversation I had with Jack looks positive for the club. I am not involved in the negotiations anymore but of course I am still in touch with Jack.

“If he wants my advice, I will give it to him. I’m convinced, like I always was, that his future is here.”
