Construction Of Modern Facilities Will Help Ghana Win Medals – Asiamah

The Sports Minister Isaac Asiamah has revealed that his outfit’s decision to embark on the construction of ten ultra -modern sports facilities will aid produce quality athletes and help Ghana win more medals in future events.

Successive governments in recent years have failed to construct sports facilities to help develop sports in the country.

Asiamah on Monday, May 7, 2018 cut the sod for the construction of a sports complex in Dunkwa Offin in the Central region.

The project will cost government 6.8 million cedis.
The Member of Parliament for Atwima Mponua says Ghana’s abysmal performance at international competitions will be a thing of the past with the construction of the ultra -modern sports facilities in all the regions.



“Ghana over the years has not invested much in sports infrastructure that is why we are always performing below par at international competition.

“We need to intervene and construct more facilities so that in future Ghana can have more sporting facilities which will help us win more medals in the future,” Asiamah told Starr Sports.

He added “with the project, we want to prepare our athletes very well because the facilities will be there for them to train and produce more medals.”
