NEYMAR will be at Real Madrid next season, according to Spanish journalist Eduardo Inda.
The Paris Saint-Germain star is at the top of Real Madrid’s wishlist this summer as club president Florentino Perez looks set to splash the cash.
Following a disastrous defence of their La Liga title, Zinedine Zidane knows he needs a mass overhaul of the squad if they are to challenge Barcelona next season.
And Perez believes that starts with improvements to their front line.
Madrid are said to be chasing Neymar AND Liverpool star Mohamed Salah to fill in for Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale with both players facing the axe in the summer.
Journalist Inda reckons Madrid signing Neymar is almost certain to happen – although a deal will not come cheap.
He believes Madrid will have to fork out around €270m (£236m), even more than the £200m PSG paid Barcelona last summer.
But the European champions are willing to break the bank for the Brazilian and Inda says an announcement on his signing could even be made before the World Cup kicks off next month.
“I do not say that Madrid is going to sign Neymar, I say that Ne
“The dream of Real Madrid is that the forward will become Salah, Cristiano (Ronaldo) and Neymar and the Brazilian can be a Madrid player even before the World Cup.
“Neymar had a good season at Barca, and it will cost Madrid between 20 and 25 per cent more than Paris Saint-Germain paid for him last summer. About €260-270m, it could be close to €300m.”
Neymar remains under contract with Ligue 1 champions PSG until 2022.
