Is Kuami Eugene going back to gospel music?

Angela and Confusion hitmaker, Kuami Eugene used to be a gospel artiste few years back but switched camp before competing in MTN hitmaker season 5.

Right after the music reality show, Richie Mensah signed the young boy on Lynx Entertainment record label and he has been entertaining Ghanaians with several hit songs.

Kuami Eugene, one of the many artistes billed for June 9 Ghana Meets Naija speaking at the launch of the 8th edition of the annual battle concert could not keep mute over the report zonfelix.net made weeks back which said he used to be a gospel artiste.

Asked if it is true that he was a gospel artiste, the Fadama Boy who used to call himself African Prince of replied: “yes, it is true”. Real name Eugene Marfo, when quizzed again by Live FM presenter Antoine Mensah, host of the launch if he would return to gospel music after releasing several secular songs, he answered: “I’m still doing gospel, I sing gospel songs every day.”



Kuami Eugene during his days as a gospel musician released songs like Heaven, Nana Nyame, Anka Mayera, No Jesus no Life and many others.

The singer, dancer and music producer together with Stonebwoy, Fancy Gadam, Patapaa, Yaa Pono, Kidi, King Promise and many others will face Wizkid, Mr. Eazi and Mayorkun from Nigeria for this year’s Ghana Meets Naija concert expected to happen at the Fantasy Dome, Trade Fair in Accra on June 9.
