I beg for money on Facebook when I’m broke – Late MP’s daughter

Miss Xandy Kamel, daughter of the late Henry Ford Kamel, a former Regional Minister and MP for Buem Constituency during Mills administration says she begs for money on social media whenever she is a financial difficulty.

She made these comments on Ghanaweb’s Showbiz Trendz hosted by Bernice Owusuwaa.

“I’m someone that if am broke, I go on Facebook and write I need GHC100… and I get people who come to support me” she explained when quizzed if shes’s living off her late father’s shine as a politician.

She continued that she begs because she doesn’t want to depend on her late father’s political connections he made during his time as an MP.

“I beg not because I’m a beggar… If I want to live off my father’s contact or connections., I might get things so easy. But no because I want to explore, want to do things I can boast of. I don’t want people pointing to say this is Kamel’s daughter, I want them to say this is for Xandy”.

The Kumawood actress who has starred in about 20 movies launched a foundation on behalf of her late dad in 2014.

The foundation according to her is to give hope back to the less privileged in the society.
