Man Utd transfer news: Real Madrid star Bale to make July decision after key talks – claim

MANCHESTER UNITED appear to be nearing a deal for Real Madrid star Gareth Bale after breakthrough talks, according to big reports in Spain.
Manchester United want Real Madrid forward Bale to bolster their attacking options for next season.

The Wales international could leave the Bernabeu despite Zinedine Zidane’s exit, with reports claiming he is ready to move back to the Premier League after five years away.

And Spanish outlet Don Balon say Bale could join Manchester United as early as July.

It is said the 28-year-old has the backing of the Red Devils hierarchy, over Cristiano Ronaldo.

Like Bale, Ronaldo is also being linked with a United return.
But Don Balon say they would prefer to sign his Real team-mate because he is younger, would cost less money and has a lower salary.

Bale reportedly expects a resolution to his future by the first week in July.

And the report claims that United and Real have enjoyed breakthrough talks in recent times.

It is said they are in regular contract over a transfer and, as it stands, Bale looks likely to join.

Meanwhile, United legend Gary Neville thinks the Red Devils should do their utmost to land the Real Madrid star.

“I’ve got a lot of admiration for him as a player,” he said.

“I’d like to see Messi play for United or Ronaldo or Neymar or all these players, but the reality is they’ve got to want to come to the club.

“That’s the first question that needs to be asked.

“If he wants to come to United then absolutely, yes, because he’s a fantastic player and he is a game changer.

“For me every top club is looking for that player who is the difference, who can turn the big games.”
