JOSE MOURINHO met new West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini in London recently, according to the Chilean.
The Hammers replaced David Moyes with the former Manchester City chief last month after a below par season in the Premier League.
And Pellegrini has been quick to hunt down potential transfer targets ahead of his season back in England.
But the veteran has a fight on his hands keeping star man Marko Arnautovic at the London Stadium beyond the summer.
The Austrian has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford in recent weeks and West Ham have slapped a £60m price tag on the winger.
But have Pellegrini and Mourinho met to discuss a potential move.
“I have a very good relationship with all the coaches, including (Jose) Mourinho,” the West Ham boss told El Mercurio.
“We recently met in London and we greeted each other with a big hug.”
Pellegrini wouldn’t divulge any further information but fans in east London may be worried that a move for Arnautovic was discussed between the two managers.
The 64-year-old is reportedly already at odds with West Ham chiefs over the lack of progress being made in acquiring transfer targets.
Pellegrini is said to have drawn up a list of high-profile names which he hopes owners David Gold and David Sullivan will attempt to sign.
As for Mourinho, the Portuguese has already secured two signings this month.
Shakhtar Donetsk star Fred and Porto’s Diogo Dalot are the first two new arrivals at Old Trafford this summer.
