MANCHESTER UNITED boss Jose Mourinho would reportedly be tempted to sign Yaya Toure – and is also eyeing deals for Gareth Bale and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
Manchester United have been linked with Manchester City legend Toure since he left the club last month.
The Ivory Coast international spent eight glittering years at the Etihad Stadium but, despite that, left under a cloud.
The City legend accused manager Pep Guardiola of racism, and then opened the door to a United move by admitting he would play for any of his old team’s rivals for just £1 a week.
Manchester United need experience if they are to reel in City next term.
And the Manchester Evening News say Mourinho is tempted by Toure, who is currently a free agent.
The 55-year-old has lost Michael Carrick, who leaves to take on a role on the coaching team.
As a result, Mourinho reportedly feels Toure can offer them experience as well as a composure in the middle of the park.
However, the City hero is not the only player on their radar.
The report suggests United also retain an interest in both Bale and Milinkovic-Savic.
Bale could leave Real Madrid with showdown talks set to determine his next move, with new Los Blancos boss Julen Lopetegui facing a huge decision to make.
Milinkovic-Savic, meanwhile, is also tickling his fancy.
The Serbia international impressed for his country as they beat Costa Rica 1-0 in their World Cup opener.
And, with Real Madrid and Juventus circling, United may have to act fast.
The Red Devils are also supposedly keen to sign Tottenham powerhouse Toby Alderweireld.
But, with relations with Spurs still strained following Dimitar Berbatov’s Old Trafford move in 2008, whether they can wear their north London giants down remains to be seen.
