Ebony’s foundation on hold because of misunderstanding with her father – Bullet

RuffTown Records, the label Ebony Reigns was signed on to says a foundation it intended setting up in the late singer’s name has been halted until a dust settles.

According to Ricky Nana Agyeman (Bullet), owner of the label, this has become necessary due to a misunderstanding between the label and Nana Opoku Kwarteng, father of the late Ebony.

“Everything has been put on hold because there was a misunderstanding with the father. Sometimes you go and tell him this is what you’re doing but later he tells you that you never told him,” Bullet said on Daybreak Hitz, Wednesday.

RuffTown Records announced at the launch of the official cloth for Ebony’s funeral that it would soon launch a foundation named after Ebony to support accident victims.

“The foundation is for accident victims. You know she died through a very serious accident so what we are doing is to raise funds through the concert to support accident victims”, Bullet said.

Organizers of 3Music Awards on the night of the maiden edition of the event made a donation of GHS10,000 to support the Ebony Foundation.

A day before that, RuffTown Records, in collaboration with the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture and Kasapreko Company Limited, organised a tribute musical concert at Trade Fair Centre for Ebony where tickets sold at GHC10, abrantepa.com recalls.

Ebony, born Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng, died in a car accident on Thursday, February 8, 2018, together with two others – Francisca Kuri, her childhood friend, and Francis Atsu Vondee of the Ghana Air Force, believed to be her bodyguard.
