President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo left Ghana on Tuesday for Lome, Togo, to facilitate the dialogue aimed at resolving the ongoing political crisis in that country.
He has been mandated by the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) to ensure smooth peace talks in the French-speaking country.
President Akufo-Addo will return to Ghana on Wednesday, 27th June, 2018, and in his absence, the Vice President, Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is acting.
Togo in recent times has witnessed a series of protests by opposition parties who have called for the resignation of President Faure Gnassingbe.
