CRISTIANO RONALDO had his Juventus medical in Munich and has already completed his move from Real Madrid, says the Serie A giants’ former CEO Luciano Moggi.
Ronaldo is the subject of an £88m (€100m) bid from Juventus, who are leading the race to secure his signature.
Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain have also been touted as potential destinations for the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.
While a move to the MLS has been talked up for when Ronaldo approaches the end of his glittering career.
Moggi seems to think the next step for the 33-year-old Portugal international is to swap La Liga for Serie A with Juventus.
And he has now gone one step further than most by claiming his old club have wrapped up a deal for Ronaldo.
“In my opinion, he has already signed and passed the medical examination with Juventus in Munich,” Moggi told Italian TV network Tele7Gold.
“This is what I think after talking to important people.”
Moggi, who spent 12 years as Juventus CEO before being caught up in the Calciopoli Scandal also recalled his own attempt to sign Ronaldo.
“I received an alert,” said Moggi. “I sent an observer to look at him, he was an 18-year-old boy, but he impressed me with his maturity and his choices.
“In the middle of the day I made the contract. Unfortunately, Marcelo Salas refused to sign for Sporting Lisbon because he wanted to return to River Plate.
“I offered five million more for an 18-year-old player, but it could not be done at that time.”
