Paul Pogba trolls England with World Cup chant with the trophy in France dressing room

PAUL POGBA celebrated France’s World Cup success with a sly dig at England by singing ‘it’s coming home’ on a live social post.
The Manchester United midfielder was speaking in French and then said ‘it’s coming home’ before seemingly regretting the comment and apologising, and then signing it again and covering his mouth and then saying ‘just kidding, sorry’.

Pogba helped France win their second World Cup with a 4-2 win over Croatia in Moscow.

The midfielder scored the third goal on the way to victory in another impressive performance before dabbing with the trophy and celebrating with president Emmanuel Macron in the dressing room.

Pogba, with the trophy in hand, was filming himself in the dressing room on his Instagram account and sung the lyric to England’s Three Lions song.
Pogba looked apologetic and before ending the video said: “Just kidding, just kidding, sorry. Just kidding, sorry.”

The anthem was being sung in the streets of England this summer with Gareth Southgate’s side impressing in Russia and generating a feel-good factor by reaching the semi-finals.

However it appears to have caused controversy with other countries.

Croatians claimed they use chant, and the increased confidence in the England team, to their advantage in the semi-finals before the extra time win.

“People were talking … English journalists, pundits from television,” Luka Modric told ITV after the semi-final.

“They underestimated Croatia tonight and that was a huge mistake. All these words from them we take, we were reading and we were saying: ‘OK, today we will see who will be tired.’ They should be more humble and respect their opponents more.
“We showed again that we were not tired – we dominated the game mentally and physically.

“We should have killed the game even before extra time. This is an amazing achievement for us – it’s a dream come true after such a long time. We are in the final and that is the biggest success in Croatia history. We have to be proud.”

While Verdan Corluka was asked to stop in the mixed zone and just said: “It’s not coming home.”

And Pogba’s reference comes after he has received criticism from the media in England after two years back at Manchester United.

Pogba responded to the talk earlier in the tournament and insisted he doesn’t listen to it.

“Criticism is always here,” the midfielder said. “When I was little, with my friends we always used to take the p**s out of each other, saying: ‘You were good, you were bad.’

“It’s about what happens on the pitch and I treat the criticism like I did when I was playing on the block as a kid. I never listen to it. I’m having fun and that’s the only answer I can give to all those people who criticise me or who think I am this or that. Everybody has opinions.

“I am less entitled to make mistakes than others. I went from the biggest transfer in the world to the most criticised player in the world.”

And Pogba had the last laugh with the World Cup trophy cradled in his arms last night.
