Barcelona transfer news: Yerry Mina linked with Man Utd move

BARCELONA defender Yerry Mina is set for a crunch meeting with Nou Camp chiefs over his future, with Manchester United interested in the player.
Barcelona defender Mina has emerged as a Manchester United transfer target as Jose Mourinho hunts defensive reinforcements.

The 55-year-old is keen to add to his squad this summer, despite having Victor Lindelof, Marcos Rojo, Eric Bailly, Phil Jones and Chris Smalling to call upon.

Barcelona signed Mina back in January from Palmeiras but the Colombia international toiled under Ernesto Valverde.

A fine World Cup showing, however, has seen his stock rise with Manchester United, Everton and Lyon all interested.

And Catalan newspaper Mundo Deportivo claim Mina inform Barca chiefs of his suitors.
Speaking recently, he expressed a desire to stay at Barcelona by saying: “I have offers [to leave] but I want to succeed at Barcelona.”

However, with Barca signing Clemence Lenglet from Sevilla, a Nou Camp exit looks to be on the cards.

Mundo Deportivo say Mina is keeping his options open, with Lyon and Everton also interested.

However, while the other two clubs have been chasing a loan deal for the Colombia centre-back, Barcelona may demand a permanent transfer.

They supposedly feel United could pay around £32million to sign the 23-year-old this summer.
But whether Mourinho agrees to cough up remains to be seen.

It has been a hectic transfer window at Old Trafford with Mourinho cutting an increasingly frustrated figure.

Fred, Diogo Dalot and Lee Grant have all arrived.

But, so far, pursuits of Gareth Bale, Willian, Ivan Rakitic, Alex Sandro, Toby Alderweireld and Harry Maguire are yet to pay off.
